I chose The London College after hearing many positive reviews from people in my community - not only about the flexibility of the programmes, but also the high quality of teaching delivered in partnership with the University of Derby.
I moved to the UK from Ukraine shortly after the war began to live with my partner, who is now my husband. We recently welcomed our first child just six months ago, so finding a course that allowed me to balance family life and education was essential. Attending classes on Saturdays only means I can study while my mother or husband looks after the baby, which has made my learning experience much more manageable and stress-free.
Together with my husband, I run a home moving business in London. We can manage every part of the process - from storage to disassembling and reassembling furniture, as well as packing and unpacking.
Through my studies at The London College, I have gained valuable knowledge and skills that directly support the growth of our business.
The digital marketing modules were especially eye-opening. They taught me how powerful visual promotion through images and videos on social media can be. By applying these strategies, I’ve seen a noticeable increase in new clients - the impact of digital word-of-mouth has been incredible.
Another key lesson I’ve learned is how to balance price and quality effectively. In the early stages, offering competitive prices helps attract new customers, but it’s the quality of service and customer care that keeps them coming back and recommending our company to others.
My long-term goal is to scale up our business and expand our services beyond London. I am truly grateful to The London College for giving me the opportunity to develop these vital skills while also raising my family. The flexibility, support, and practical focus of this course have made it one of the best decisions I have ever made.
