Job Description
The College seeks to appoint experienced Lecturer in Computer Science to join our new Computer Science department commencing its 4 year degree programme in Computer Science, including Foundation year in September 2026.
The successful candidate will initially assume the role of course leader and deliver high-quality teaching across the remaining 3 years of the undergraduate programme, specialising in areas including Data Structures and Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming, Internet of Things, Programming Principles and Techniques, and general foundational Computer Science topics.
The role involves designing engaging, inclusive curricula, fostering student success, and contributing to the development and innovation of departmental teaching practices.
This is an excellent opportunity to shape the learning experience of future computing professionals and contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking academic environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in Computer Science, with UK Master's degree as a minimum (PhD preferred), and demonstrable teaching experience in higher education.
The ideal candidate will have expertise across core Computer Science domains, particularly Data Structures and Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, IoT, and programming fundamentals, and the ability to teach a broad range of modules. The candidate will be student-focused, innovative in pedagogy, and able to contribute to departmental initiatives, including curriculum development and collaborative projects. Excellent communication, organisational skills, and adaptability in teaching scenarios are essential. Experience of research or industry collaboration is desirable.

The College is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our admin team in the newly created role of HR administrator. In this role, you will provide effective HR support to College Principal, Board of Directors, Board of Governors, and all employees and contractors ensuring the student experience remains at the heart of everything we do.
Preference will be given to candidates with extensive working experience in UK College/University HR environments. This is a mandatory requirement for all potential candidates.
Job Description
Essential Duties (Mandatory Requirements)
- Providing an effective and high-quality HR support service for the College, offering expert advice and guidance to College leaders, managers, and all employees and contractors.
- Assisting the Principal and finance team in providing professional coaching and guidance to enable them to deliver employee relations, workforce management, and employee engagement activities across their respective areas.
- Overseeing the management of all Employee Relations (ER) cases across the college, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Provide professional, confidential, and consistent advice and guidance on all aspects of HR to employees and contractors at all levels within the college.
- Providing professional, confidential, and consistent advice to recruiting international staff who require T2 visa clearance from UKVI and also provide guidance and compliance on all aspects of HR to international employees at all levels within the College.
- Commanding good knowledge of UKVI requirements and the processes involved in the preparation of required documents for T2 visa clearance for foreign nationals
Qualifications Required
- Good HR professional qualification at level 6 or higher or equivalent qualification
- An excellent knowledge and understanding of generalist HR and legal compliance
- Relevant experience in an HR Management or supervisory role within HE environments
- Experience in handling employee relations issues and cases within HE environments
- Experience in maintaining employee and contractor records within HE environments
- Good knowledge in the use of MSO spreadsheet and HR database within educational environments
- Good knowledge of PAYE, pension & NI contribution and personal taxation to meet compliance
- Good knowledge of HMRC employment requirements and compliance
- Good knowledge of Bookkeeping and bank reconciliation
- Good knowledge of using HRM database and familiarity with using Sage line 50 accounts software
- Extensive knowledge in GDPR compliance
- Extensive experience in dealing with staff Behavioral issues and strict implementation of probational terms and conditions
- Extensive dealing with staff grievance and ACAS compliance

Terms & Conditions
- Contract Type : Full-time or Part-time (0.4-0.6 FTE).
- Initially for 12 months with possible renewal.
- Permanent.
- 5 days per week (Tuesday-Saturday with one weekday off in lieu), 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) / or PT role (0.4-0.6 FTE).
- 28 days leave per annum, pro-rata for part-time role.
